By train

From Halle main railway station (Halle Hbf)

Walk across the waiting area past the Deutsche Bahn Travel Center and exit the station through the main entrance. Keeping to your left, follow the sidewalk along the parking lot to the tram stop. Take tram no. 4 or no. 5 going to Kröllwitz. In 15–20 minutes, depending on the tram line, you will reach the Straßburger Weg stop. Disembark there, walk across the tram tracks and then straight ahead through the gate and across the parking lot. Turn left and walk till you reach the Georg Cantor House on your right.

Paper tram tickets can be bought with cash or card from ticket machines at tram stops or inside the tram. Digital tram tickets are available through the MOOVME and FAIRTIQ apps.

Another option is a Deutsche Bahn train ticket that includes the use of public transport in Halle.

  • Dont forget to validate your ticket! In Halle, paper tram tickets need to be stamped after you board the tram. Deutsche Bahn tickets need to be stamped before you board the train.

Tram schedules are available online (https://havag.com/en    or https://www.bahn.com/en   ) as well as in the Deutsche Bahn or MOOVME apps.

For additional information, including service changes and scheduled closures, please see the HAVAG website   .
